Latvijas Banka starts publishing the lists of financial institutions, which are maintained for statistical purposes, in a new format, which allows for sorting of information and searching for it, accumulation of lists and availability of historical lists (monthly lists available as from March 2022, whereas quarterly lists available as from the first quarter of 2022), printing layout, as well as export of lists in a csv format.
The lists can also be obtained in xml and json formats. To extract data, API call is used by adding the following extension to the domain:
/api/statistics/(type of the list – MFI, IF or PF)/(the desired format – json, xml)/(date in the format of yyyymmdd), for example, www.bank.lv/api/statistics/MFI/xml/20220430. Where no list exists for the selected date, the list available for the nearest date before the selected date is found. Where there is no such list, there is a notification that information has not been found.
