Latvian investment firms made a profit of 840 thousand euro in 2023, and the segment's return on equity (ROE) stood at 8.9% last year. This is apparent from the data compiled by Latvijas Banka.

In late 2023, nine investment firms operated in Latvia, with their total balance sheet assets reaching 14.6 million euro by year-end – one third more than at the end of 2022.

In 2023, the total amount of the financial instruments purchased by customers of investment firms was 5 billion euro in nominal value, but the number of transactions reached 22.2 million.

The capital and liquidity ratios within the Latvian investment firm sector stood at 185.5% and 440.9% respectively at the end of 2023.
